RESCUEFLY - THE FUTURE OF WATER RESCUE

At the heart of "RescueFly" is a drone that takes off automatically from a drone hangar. If an emergency call is made at a body of water, the control centre can alert the drone in addition to the regular rescue chain, which takes off automatically and flies along a defined path to the area of operation. Thanks to a specially developed AI algorithm, the drone can analyse the situation and, for example, distinguish a drowning person from a floating person.

In an emergency, the drone drops up to two floats to help rescue the person and remains hovering in place to assist the arriving water rescue teams in localising the person. After the mission, the drone returns independently to the hangar, where an automated post-flight check takes place.

VIDEO FROM THE TEST FLIGHT

The prototype completed its first successful mission during a demonstrator flight in October 2023. You can see the complete mission in the video.
